Indian Creek Trail

Indian Creek Trail phase 3 project was the final 1.2-mile asphalt and concrete paved link to connect historic downtown Corydon to Hayswood Park. This project included the relocation and rehabilitation of a historic truss bridge.

This truss structure, in its final location, made up a portion of the 250-foot 3 span bridge carrying the trail over Indian Creek. C&R Construction established approximately 9,000 square feet of modular block wall along the creek to create an underpass for pedestrians beneath the existing bridge carrying State Road 62 over Indian Creek.

The trail was completed with wood fence and railing. Although this was constructed along and within a major waterway during the wettest year on record, the project was still completed ahead of schedule.
